WELCOME TO OUR TRAVEL WEBSITE
Following Col’s health issues we are fortunate that his cancer is now in remission and both his Oncologist and Cardiac specialists have given him the OK to travel overseas for this trip.
Our aim was to go back to Europe to visit our very special Swiss friends then enjoy some of the places we have previously been to plus to see some new areas particularly Madrid and Barcelona plus do some spectacular rail journeys.
OVERVIEW OF OUR TRIP
We will leave Melbourne on 2nd May and travel to Dubai for 2 nights, then onto Oslo for 2 nights. Oslo to Bergen (3 nights) will be via rail then we fly to Munich and train to Garmish-Parkerken for 4 nights. Another train will take us to Zurich enabling us to stay with dear friends Susy and Chris for a week. During our stay with Susy and Chris we will take the ‘Glacier Express’ from Chur to Zermatt at the foot of The Matterhorn. The next day we will take the ‘Glacier Express’ back to Chur and then Zurich.
After leaving our friends Susy and Chris in Zuirch our next stop via train will be Florence in Italy for 2 nights and then Sorrento for 3 nights and the Amalfi coast.
From Sorrento we fly to Madrid in Spain for 2 nights and then train to Barcelona for 3 nights before flying home via Singapore for 2 nights
Our travel agent Jamie Davison (CroydonTravel) has been fantastic and he managed to put together our busy 5 weeks beautifully.
We will update this website (hopefully weekly) when we have fast wifi.
